Yesterday was Earth Day and while looking for activities with my son to celebrate this day, I came across the suggestion to take a minute to picture a place where you have had a memorable experience and then try to imagine the regret you would have it if were gone. I immediately thought of the sleeping Bear dunes in Michigan. My family and I go camping near this place every year, I usually complain about all the adversities related to the act of "camping" but usually this complains fade away when I come across the view of lake Michigan and all its peaceful beauty. To stop feeling bad that one day all this beauty might disappear because we don't take good care of it, I resolved to print this image above and displayed it in the my bathroom right in front of the shower. So this will remind me and my 8 year old to sacrifice our love for long hot showers. Hopefully seeing this beauty every day helps us achieve our goal to take brief 5 minute showers!
